Letang is a beautiful municipality located in north east of biratnagar,morang.letang is naturally, culturally rich municipaity situated in the bank of chisang river surrounded by small hills from three sides .It's nearby locations are kanepokhari gaunpalika,pathaarisanischare nagarpalika and belbari nagarpalika etc.the major population are engaged in agriculture,public service,business and so on.As of having maximun population based on agriculture for liveliwood,there is poor facilities for irrigation,seeds and fertilizers.But after the conversion from village development committee to municipality,it is leading in many sectors like agriculture,tourism,education,health etc.As looking the history of past 5-6 years,it is formed by merging various villages nearby like Bhogateni,Jante village development committee,Warangi etc.By the rapid development of the various important sectors,it is one of the most well-known,reputed municipality in the morang district.Letang muunicipality is ethnically rich having major ethnic groups like brahmin,limbu,chhetri,Tamang and so on.For balance and equal development,letang municipality is divided into 9 wadas.According to the census of 2011 A.D,it had total population of 18552 people.But today it is increasing day by day.Letang municipality is also well known for it's historical and traditional things.the holy and sacred rajarani temple is located in letang.Apart from this various others temple like shivalaya mandir,panchakanya mandir etc. are located in this municipality.Letang municipality is also reputed for tourism.Various tourism area like guwabari,jholunge pul etc. are the places where the tourist get attracted.Jholunge pul is one of the major tourism and picnic hub of letang municipality.Letang municipality is rapidly developing in all sectors.for education,there are more than 13 private school and more than 15 government schools.But in the process of development,letang municipality shouldn't only wait for annual budget of government.They should look and walk forward for creating strong economy from inside the municipality.Here are some of the obstacles and possibilities of letang municipality.

There are various types of obstacles that obstructs the developmental activities.Some of them are listed below:
1)Letang municipality is a large area with connected hills from three direction.So,it is quite hard work to connect all the places with transportation.
2)People are not connected with mobile phone in some rural areas which do not allow them to get all information given by the municipalities and other reports which do not gives them opportunities to get out of poverty level.
3)It has skills in huge amount but they do not have platforms to show their talents.Students have many innovative ideas but they cannot perform them in a municipality and other areas.
4)There are no schools and colleges which gives business ideas and others skill oriented ideas.All students are treated to focus only in books which kills their ideas and skills.
5)People are getting discriminated in terms of caste,religion etc. which makes the developmental activities quite hard to operate.
6)Voice of youth are not promoted in developmental activities although they are the major infrastructure of development.
7)All the religious places are not promoted in the provincial and national level.They are not properly managed which decreases the number of people visiting it.
8)People will give various types of compliments and comments on what to do and what not to do? government should decides in terms of majority and minority which helps to take a quick decision and to lead forward.
9)Unemployment is the major obstacles that obstructs the development resulting in lost of skilled and efficient manpower.
10)lack of better education services,health services,communication services,transportation services etc.

Here are some of the possibilities of letang municipality which can help letang municipality to develop rapidly and to get assistance in economic development.Some of them are listed below:
1)Road transportation,rope transportation etc. should be properly managed and all roads should be made black topped(pitch)t make access of road from each and every corner of the municipality.
2)There should be development in communication sector so that every people can get access with information and they can learn various skills through internet.
3)Letang municipality should establish a innovation center to teach students about new innovation and to provide them economic assistance which motivates them to invent new things.Apart from this sschool should provide practical education rather than theoritical education which helps them to understand faster and easier.
4)Skill oriented occupational training should be given to students and other to motivate them to establish small industry and get self-employed.
5)Local government should create awareness programme to aware people about caste and religious discrimination which helps all community people to take part in development.
6)Youths are the basic infrastructure of the country and a municipality as well.So,they should be promoted to take part in developmental activities as a leader to get modern plans and policies about development.
7)All the religious and tourism places should be conserved and promoted to get visitors all around the country which helps in economical achievement of the municipality.
8)Government should decide for development in a systematic way which do not harms any of the public.they should take decision in terms of majority and minority.
9)Umemployment should be reduced with the establishment of small and large scale industries which reduces poverty and brain drain providing healthy and efficient manpower for development.
10)There should be proper management of health services,education services and transportation services which helps to produce healthy and educated manpower.
Apart from these possibilities the municipality should make proper plan for development of drainage,sewage,drinking water etc. A proper plan to these leading problem of some important place of the municipality should be solved soon.We should aware people about the benefit that they can take from these developmental activities who do not accept the terms and condition for drainage and sewage.
