Multimedia is the combination of image,video,text,audio,animation to get a meaningful information.simply,when image,video,text,audio,and animation are combined together it forms multimedia.

1.Text

Text can be a single word,a single line or a paraghraph.it is the original words and form of a written or printed work.Text is the primary component of multimedia.Text is the simplest mean to convey a message from a person to another one.

2.Image or grpahics

The term graphics refers to the image or picture.Unlike text,it is the still representation of a video. Usually graphics uses a universal ASCII format. it is said that "An image represent thousands of words" which brings simplicity to the reader.

3.Audio

Audio has a great role in multimedia development.uses of audio in multimedia boosts the usability of multimedia to its full potential.There are so many sounds that can be used in multimedia like human voices,instrumental notes and many more.

4.video

video is the running frame of static picure or the motion of many picture at once.usually the video clip is made of a series of separate frames where every frame is slightly different from the preevious one.generally video can be defined as the combination of  image in motion and audio.

5.Animation 

The computer based animation is a sequence of still images displayed in rapid succession to provide visual effects.Animation is something that provides life to the computer generated images.Usually animations are two dimensional or three dimensional.
